What is the first consultation for?
It allows you to take stock of your family situation, understand your rights and know which steps are possible.
It is also the time to ask all your questions, even those that seem simple to you.

The first consultation is the moment when Mrs. Satti learns about your situation and helps you see it clearly. You leave knowing what the next steps are.

Who is it for?
The first consultation is intended for anyone facing a family law question: a separation or a divorce, custody and residence arrangements for the children, a maintenance contribution, a parentage question, the division of assets after a separation, or any other family law question.
Whether you simply want to be informed or need to act quickly, this first meeting lets you know where you stand.
How does it work?
The consultation lasts 30 minutes, at the office, by phone or by videoconference on request. The office welcomes you in Uccle (Brussels). Do you live in Walloon Brabant or on the outskirts of Brussels and prefer not to travel? The phone appointment can be booked online. Mrs. Satti can plead before the family courts throughout the country.
You explain your situation in your own words. Mrs. Satti then asks you the questions needed to understand the important points of your case.
Based on your answers, she presents the possible solutions and the strategy best suited to your situation: where to start, which steps to consider and within what timeframes.
Which documents should you bring?
If you already have documents related to your situation, for example a judgment, a signed agreement, a letter from a lawyer or a notice to appear in court, bring them with you, along with any other document that seems useful to you.
If you do not have any documents yet, simply come with your identity card. If a case is opened, Mrs. Satti will then tell you which documents are needed.
Fees and confidentiality
The first consultation costs 100€ excl. VAT. Every case is different: if a case is opened afterwards, the way fees are calculated is explained to you and set out in a fee agreement.
Mrs. Satti is bound by professional secrecy and by the obligations of discretion and confidentiality relating to the cases she handles.
Consultations take place by appointment only. Telephone contact: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
